Created with Raphaël 2.3.0Characters: Allows players to generate characters to be played themselves, or to create NPCs with which to interact. (ex: If you need to create a capital ship designed to have a large crew complement, plus an attachment of 16 fighters, this tool will work in conjunction with others to genereat the necessary pieces automatically.)BattleMechs: This component will borrow materials from each Technical Readout book, as well as other source materials to provide players access to preconfigured BattleMechs and other individual units, excluding aircraft, ground and wet naval units. Players will be able to design their own units, following the rules of BattleTech for each technology base, time period, battle value, etc. Designs can be kept private or made available to others, and players will be able to save or print PDFs. Submitted designs will conttribute to a community contribution score.Ships: Extending the units available for gameplay, the Ships section allows players to create various other units such as wheeled, tracked and hover ground units, ocean-going naval vessels, rail units and aircraft such as atmospheric fighters, VTOLs and blimps. Just like BattleMechs, players will be able to share their designs with others, or keep them private as well as print them for offline play.Maps: To provide players access to digital representations of game maps. Players will also be able to design their own maps, save them as PDFs, share with others, and eventually order prints of the maps, shipped to their door.Structures: Further extending the gameplay experience, this component gives players the ability to design record sheets for structures to be used in BattleTech. A variety of premade structures will be available, such as factories, guard towers, bunkers, hospitals, bridges and others. In addition to record sheets, players will be able to design the structure of the buildings themselves, to be stored as 3D models and used in future online play.Stars: To allow players to examine the stars of the Inner Sphere and the worlds that exist within the BattleTech universe. Available will be statistics about known systems and travel time between them. (ex: If a player is taking part in a campaign, this tool will be able to help plot a course from one system to another, to let them know which router to take and set an expectation of how much game time will have passed upon completion of the journey.)About: BattleTech Live is a vast, ongoing project, originating in 2004. Single-person development means that it can be slow. There have been setbacks over the years, such as database corruption causing all data to be lost, but I am committing myself to make some forward progress each day and document my progress. Current efforts are to clean up the authentication and user profile management processes, enabling multiple methods of multi-factor-authentication. The next project will be completing of the BattleMechs section, allowing me to import as many established record sheets as I can find and enable users to submit their own.

  • Design custom map sheets.
  • Provide information about current and past print materials.
  • Present a web interface for three-dimensional turn-based gameplay of the classic BattleTech game, making use of quick character creation and long term reusable characters.Make available star maps with jump paths and information about each star system.
